ʾAḥmad Ibn Yaḥyā al-Balādhurī árabe fue un historiador persa del siglo IX. Fue uno de los más eminentes historiadores del medio oriente de su época, la mayor parte de su vida residió en Bagdad y tuvo gran influencia en la corte del califa al-Mutawakkil. Viajó por Siria e Irak, recopilando información para sus obras. Es considerado una fuente confiable sobre la historia de los primeros árabes y la historia de la expansión musulmana.[1]​ Wikipedia
