John Napier Wyndham Turner es un político y abogado canadiense jubilado, 17.º primer ministro de Canadá, del 30 de junio al 17 de septiembre de 1984.

Nacido en Surrey, Inglaterra, fue educado en el Ashbury College y en el St. Patrick's College, en Canadá. Ingresó en la Universidad de la Columbia Británica y estuvo entre los mejores atletas de su país, clasificándose para el equipo olímpico canadiense en 1948.[1]​[2]​ Se graduó con honores en el año 1949.

En su carrera política, Turner ocupó otros cargos de importancia, incluyendo el de Ministro de Justicia y el de Ministro de Finanzas entre 1968 y 1975, durante el primer gobierno de Pierre Elliott Trudeau. Wikipedia
