Rafiq Baha' al-Din al-Hariri , más conocido como Rafiq Hariri fue un hombre de negocios, magnate y político libanés, nacido en Sidón el 1 de noviembre de 1944 y asesinado en Beirut el 14 de febrero de 2005. Fue Primer Ministro del Líbano en dos ocasiones: de 1992 a 1998 y de 2000 a 2004.

Fue asesinado el 14 de febrero de 2005 en Beirut por la explosión de un coche bomba. En 2011 el Tribunal Especial para el Líbano en Países Bajos acusó formalmente a cuatro miembros del Hezbolá por la masacre y en 2013 agregó el nombre de un quinto. Los cinco terroristas de Hezbolá fueron declarados culpables in absentia después de un año de juicio.[1] Wikipedia
