Ziad Samir Jarrah fue el piloto del secuestrado vuelo 93 de United Airlines que formó parte de los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001.[n. 1]​ Se cree que tomó el control como el piloto de la aeronave y que, junto con un equipo de secuestradores , llevó a cabo un intento infructuoso de estrellar el avión en el Capitolio de los Estados Unidos.[n. 2]​

Existen muchas variaciones de su nombre, incluyendo Ziad Samir Al-Jarrah, Zaid Jarrahi, Ziad Jarrah Jarrat y Ziyad Samir Jarrah. Después de recibir una educación en un ambiente acomodado y secular, Jarrah se involucró en la planificación de los ataques del 11 de septiembre en la universidad. A diferencia de los otros secuestradores, él tenía una novia turca y era cercano a su familia. De hecho, fue el único terrorista que tuvo dudas momentos antes de consumarse los ataques.
