Watchman Nee o Ni Tuosheng fue un escritor cristiano chino. Fue perseguido por los comunistas chinos pasando los últimos 20 años de su vida en prisión.[1]​ Junto a otros ministros como Wangzai, Zhou-An Lee, Shang-Jie Song fundó la "Sala de Asambleas de la Iglesia", posteriormente conocida como "Iglesias Locales" .

Watchman Nee se convirtió al cristianismo en 1920, a la edad de 17 años, y comenzó a escribir el mismo año. En 1921 conoció a la misionera británica Margaret E. Barber, quien fue una maestra para él.[2]​A través de Barber, Nee conoció lecciones importantes para la vida cristiana tales como conocer y experimentar la cruz.[3]​ Nee no tuvo estudios teológicos formales, adquirió sus conocimientos mediante el estudio detallado de la Biblia y la lectura de libros de autores cristianos de gran peso.[4]​[5]​ Durante los 30 años de su ministerio, iniciado en 1922, Nee viajó a través de China fundando iglesias en comunidades rurales y dictó conferencias sobre temas cristianos en Shanghái.[6]​ En 1952 fue encarcelado a causa de su fe y permaneció en prisión hasta su muerte en 1972.[7]​ Wikipedia
