Charles Hartshorne fue un prominente filósofo estadounidense que se dedicó principalmente a la filosofía de la religión y a la metafísica. Desarrolló la idea neoclásica de Dios y produjo una prueba de la existencia de Dios desde la lógica modal que fue un argumento ontológico de San Anselmo.
