Erica Jong es una escritora de best sellers estadounidense.

Tras terminar sus estudios de literatura inglesa en la Universidad de Columbia, enseñó en varias universidades de EE. UU., Austria e Israel.

Aunque ya había publicado poesía anteriormente , saltó a la fama en 1973 con su primera novela, Miedo a volar, que lleva ya 15 millones de ejemplares vendidos y se ha traducido a 27 idiomas. Se trata de un clásico del erotismo femenino, por el que aún se asocia a su autora con ese tipo de literatura.

Erica ha seguido escribiendo libros, varios de los cuales han sido también superventas, pero más centrados en la realización personal de la mujer, su lugar en la sociedad y la relación madre-hija. Su novela más reciente cuenta la historia de una familia judía en Estados Unidos. Wikipedia
