Rudolph William Louis «Rudy» Giuliani III, KBE , es un abogado y político estadounidense, conocido por haber sido alcalde de la ciudad de Nueva York de 1994 a 2001. Actualmente es abogado del presidente Donald Trump.

El momento definitivo en su carrera política se produjo el 11 de septiembre de 2001, durante el ataque a las Torres Gemelas. Su papel de líder y nivel de visibilidad pública en los días siguientes al ataque le dieron un nivel de popularidad mundial[1]​ y el apodo de «El Alcalde de América»; además lo llevaron a ser nombrado por la revista Time en 2001 como «Persona del Año».[2]​[3]​

Desde que dejó la alcaldía de Nueva York, ha perseguido intereses en el ámbito comercial y legal, y se ha mantenido políticamente activo, realizando campañas para los candidatos republicanos en todos los niveles. El 13 de noviembre de 2006, formó un comité exploratorio para considerar entrar a la carrera presidencial de 2008.[4]​

Giuliani, millonario, es actualmente el presidente y jefe ejecutivo de «Giuliani Partners LLC», una compañía consultora de seguridad que fundó en 2002, y es socio en la firma legal, que tiene su base en Houston, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP. Wikipedia
