Frederik Willem de Klerk [1]​ es un político sudafricano, reconocido por liberar de prisión al activista Nelson Mandela y por contribuir, a su lado, a poner fin al régimen del apartheid. Ambos fueron galardonados con el Premio Nobel de la Paz de 1993 y con el Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Cooperación Internacional de 1992 por este hecho.[2]​ De Klerk fue también vicepresidente de Sudáfrica durante la presidencia de Mandela.[3]​ Wikipedia
